Ring of Kerry is a bursting-with-energy Irish music group that captures the hearts of listeners. All five of its engaging musicians sing and play several instruments. With sounds that range from the thunder of the Irish bodhran drum to the sparkle of the hammered dulcimer; from the lilt and rhythm of fiddle and guitar to the haunting wails of flutes and pennywhistles, the band has developed a blend that is animated, ruggedly beautiful and fun. The guys get close to their audience, joking, ribbing and laughing along but are respectful and friendly. Audiences always react with great enthusiasm!
The group takes its name from a beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland. Its Celtic music, however, is played with a heart much closer to home.
Russell Letson, a contributor to Guitar Magazine wrote the following for Ring of Kerry's Live-in-Concert CD, “St. Paddy's Eve”.
"Ring of Kerry is in love with the music that the Irish and Scots took with them as they made their way from the Old World to the New. Here are tunes sweet and raucous, rough and smooth; tunes for dancing or drinking or loving or even working; songs about railroads and robbers, farms and pubs and the odd battlefield. The accents here might be mid-American, but the sentiments cross oceans and centuries with ease. This is living music, played live and lively, so raise your glasses and dance and sing along."
Ring of Kerry recently released a second CD, "Returning to the Shore".

The first thing you notice when you see Marcoux Corner is the sound, it’s pure vocal extravagance. This four piece A Cappella group combines over 20 years of voice lessons and vocal study at one of the country’s most prestigious colleges for vocal performance, Concordia College in Moorhead.
The sound they produce when they join in harmony will make you rethink your attitude about music. It is, at the same time, beautiful and full of so much energy you can’t help but tap your toe and grin from ear to ear. That is what separates Marcoux Corner from everyone else on the scene today, toe-tapping FUN.
They have brought their show to huge corporate clients like General Mills and the Disney Corporation as well as Thrivent Financial and IBM. Every audience, be it retired vets at the 4th of July Festival in Morristown, MN, CEO’s of major corporations in San Antonio, TX, middle school students in Hudson, WI, college kids in Erie, PA and Denver, CO or employees of the New Ulm Medical Center, there skimpy is not a crowd these guys don’t amaze.

Like a harvester gathering vintage grapes, Paul Imholte collects the wonder of acoustical string music and shares that beauty with audiences. Known as the "musical stringman," he sings and plays nearly a dozen traditional instruments.
Paul performs at festivals, schools and concerts across the United States. For the last ten years, Paul has been composing and recording instrumental music for the hammered dulcimer and songs about life in the Midwest.
One of Paul's featured instruments is the hammered dulcimer. The hammered dulcimer is an ancient string instrument from the Middle East. It is played with light mallets or hammers. Along with the hammered dulcimer and fiddle, Paul plays the guitar, banjo, mandolin, autoharp, harmonica, jaw harp and spoons.
